Sleeve Scarf: When Geek Fashion Goes Horribly Wrong

To be a geek doesn’t really entail cool parties, black tie events and beach get togethers.  At least it didn’t used to.  When geeks started to overtake the Internet with their many inventions and services, things shifted slightly.  Today’s it’s “in” to wear a pair of geeky glasses and a fashionable geek backpack.  As far as shoes go, we’re kicking around in custom made sneakers.  If we’re about to have a meeting, we ditch that retro t-shirt for a less hip shirt.  However, there are people out there who want to change the way geeks dress (or people in general), and they try to come up with new, edgy and comfortable solutions to the already working shirt.  Right here I want to include the famous saying “if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.”

Etsy seller CubistLiterature put together the all new Sleeve Scarf.  By the look of it, it’s aimed at the average geek, but I am still a little hesitant.  I mean, I am sure it is comfortable and all that, but I can’t get around the spandex pants.  Sure, it’s all about the Sleeve Scarf, but I just can’t take it seriously somehow.

The Sleeve Scarf sells for $200 a pop and comes in purple, light gray and black.  So all you fashion geeks out there who want to be different and hook up with the latest trends, I guess this would be something for you.  But what about the other arm?  Am I only going to keep warm on one side?  Maybe I am missing something.
