The Soda Seal concept was invented by Johan de Broyer of Ukraine and co-inventor, Robert Davis of Davis Advertising. Robert is credited with design and development of patent drawings, 3-D models and video animations of the concept in action.

there are enough people only drinking 1/2 a 355ml can to create a market for resealable ones, are there?

Somehow I doubt it.

And their “seals to gas and liquid” claim has the caveat of “subject to prototype refinement” – meaning they haven’t got it working yet. Just an animation.

Personally I think it would be a great idea. Many a time I’ve wanted to re-close a can a soda not even to save for later but just to prevent any strange bugs from finding there way in.

I think this is a great concept for parents with children. I can’t count the number of half-full, almost-full cans I had to throw away because kids will open a can then forget about it!
