R2-D2 Bicycle Helmet: Badass Just Got Badder!

R2-D2 Bicycle Helmed Mod Design

When I was a little kid, everything seemed to be different than it is today. Games were in pixelated form, cartoons on TV weren’t some annoying chubs running around screaming all the time, sneakers were cheaper, and we didn’t have to wear a helmet when biking. In general, the world was a little less complicated. Maybe it wasn’t safer, but it was simpler.

Today everything is analyzed and we literally have to have a degree in everything just to really understand what the hell is going on. Of course, things are developing quickly, and the mistakes that are made spawn new ways of doing things. The helmet is a great example of that. I remember when I went into second grade and one of my friends came to school wearing a bicycle helmet. It was really the first generation of helmets, and we had no idea it would eventually become mandatory for every kid and grownup to wear.

Helmets back then were really just made out of some sort of foam. They were nothing fancy like today with the stripes and the different motifs. Find a helmet that fits your personality can still be hard, and if you are a geek, it can be even harder. Usually helmets come in the form of some badass airbrushed design or with Hello Kitty attached to it. However, what if you really want something that is special and not so mainstream?

Jenn aka “Clever Girl” is about to change all that with her quite extraordinary bicycle helmet design. Every Star Wars fan will stand in line for one of these because they just don’t come any cooler than this one. It’s a regular bicycle helmet modded into the top dome of R2-D2. It’s nothing less that geekalicious if you ask me. It has everything, even the little camera/scanner attachment that is characteristic of the R2-D2 robot. So, if you want to stand out, I suggest you either create your own or you get in touch with Jenn, and I am sure she will hook you up. Of course, that will come with a price. But who cares, right? If you have the most badass helmet on the block, there is no such thing as too much to pay.
