I have a bit of a weakness for geeky underwear and gaming, and since I recently got into the Portal games, I just couldn’t resist these very sexy-cute Portal panties. They are pure gamer-girl geek chic. There is nothing more satisfying to your inner geek than wearing a little geeky treat hidden beneath your outer layers. It is how I imagine Superman feels before he rips off his suit to go fight crime. Except with me, there is less crime fighting and more lazily lying around on the sofa, X-Box 360 controller in hand, ready to either kick some zombie-ass or solve some mind-bending puzzle.
These Portal panties are based on the design of the Companion Cube from within the Portal game series, and although I can’t confirm if there is a puzzle attached to them, they are so cute I imagine a few people will at least want to try and solve it if there is. They are a perfect treat for the gamer-girl in your life (even if that gamer-girl is yourself).
If cute panties of the Portal persuasion are not enough, and if you want to really get your geek on, I also came across these Portal 2 ‘Long Fall Boot’ knee high socks. In the spirit of honesty, I feel I should tell you that these socks won’t help you survive any long falls, but they will make your legs and feet look super cute, which to me comes out as a perfect 10 on any test protocol.
Merchandising is in itself a fun extension of a game/comic/film and a way of bringing it into our everyday lives for continuous enjoyment. I especially like it when there is something specific other than a plushie or a clever t-shirt. These Portal panties and socks are a great addition to any girl’s wardrobe, and are the perfect excuse to get gaming in your underwear. Who knows…you just might get cake when you’re finished.
