Learning Windows 95 With Greta… In A Bikini…

Learning Windows 95 With Greta

So here we are, it’s the end of 2011, and we are all looking forward to the new year with great anticipation. This year we have seen a lot of new things launched, and we keep wondering what the future might hold for us. Technologies have come and gone this year, and some that people thought would never see the light of day have become game changers that we tend to use more than we probably should. All in all, we have had a good year where a lot of geeky stuff happened. It seems technology is exactly where it is supposed to be for the year 2011, and hopefully the world will continue that trend in 2012.

However, apparently when Windows 95 was released back in the ’90s, we weren’t very aware of fashion. We especially weren’t used to odd, weird, and most of all, out of this world presentations. Geeks had just gotten their first world leaders with Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, and we were happy to see a new kind of lifestyle appear. As with everything, things weren’t exactly spot on all the time. When I recently came across a Windows demo for teaching purposes, I kept wondering to myself what the creators were thinking.

So you want to learn Windows 95? You want to learn it quickly, and you want an in depth demonstration of the OS? What could be better than to take a course taught by Windows expert Greta, right? It sounds legit and all that. What you don’t know is that Greta will do the in depth demonstration of Windows, yes she will, but in a bikini. Now tell me, does that sound like good concept? I bet the geeks back in the ’90s thought this was one of the geekiest and best demonstrations around. I am sure anyone would agree. However, today it’s not so spot on, right? Behold Windows 95 being presented by a knowledgeable bikini model… It’s just one of the WTF moments from those days.
