This was a great campaign, good example of how social media can be used as a marketing tool, so many people tries and failed i.e. Wal-mart
To make a campaign work you have to realise why users will want to follow you or ‘friend’ you that main reason is offers so a launch like this is a great start. It was a unique way of engaging customers through facebook and going viral won them recognition with new customers as well as impressing the marketing industry.
We’ll see how many copy cats appear and if Ikea can top this?

Great use of Facebook. Wonder if there were any type of overlap with the tagging, if so, wonder how that was handled.
