I’ve written about a lot of different kinds of creative shoes on Bit Rebels, but this is the first time I think I’ve written about a shoe accessory. When I first stumbled across these little heel condoms, I thought the concept was brilliant. I don’t drive with my shoes on. As a matter of fact, I haven’t driven with shoes on my feet in years, not even in the winter. The main reason for that is because I don’t want to damage the heels on my shoes.
These heel condoms keep your heels safe and sound while dressing up your shoes at the same time. Like designer Sandrysabel Ortiz says, if you are going to dress up, you might as well dress up your shoes too, right?
The main reason why I like this idea though is because these days, most of us are trying to stretch our dollars as far as possible. By putting a heel condom on your shoe, you basically create an entirely different look. It’s like having a new pair of shoes. You can wear a simple pair of black pumps to the office for a corporate look, and then add a heel condom for happy hour.
