Geeky Cartoon Manicures: SpongeBob, Mario, Star Trek & More

Nerd-Nail-Polish-Cartoon-Designs

Is there anything that can’t be polished on fingernails? I don’t think so. The art of polishing nails is like any art in that there are no limits. I use the word polish because someone once told me, “You paint walls, you polish nails.” We’ve already featured all of the Avengers, Spidey, Batman and the Joker, Harry Potter, Pac-Man and even strawberries on nails, so it only makes sense that we include some classic geeky cartoons to the list.

Apparently white is a popular color to polish the base of many nail designs these days since I’m seeing it everywhere. I remember back in the days when if you polished your nails any colors other than pink or red, it was considered wild. Nowadays it’s much different, and it’s definitely anything goes. The more detail, the better, and the things some people can polish on nails would blow your mind.

This collection below is from Leslie at Polish Art Addiction. She is a 25-year-old nurse with an obsession with all things nail polish. She made sure to pretty much cover all the necessary cartoon characters on here since she hit up Mario Bros, Star Trek, Sailor Moon, Teen Titans, SpongeBob SquarePants (and Patrick), Dilbert and more. If you click over to her website, you can learn all about how she does it, what kind of brushes she uses and all kinds of other details about this skillful art. According to Leslie, it takes a lot of practice and patience. I can imagine that’s true. If I tried this, something tells me I’d just make a big ‘ol mess.
