How Smart Geeks Keep Their Hands Clean While Snacking & Typing/Gaming

geeks-keep-hands-clean

If you are a computer geek or a gamer, chances are, you spend a lot of time typing on your keyboard or with a controller in your hands. You probably also like to eat while you’re plugged in too. The “experts” always say to eat meals or snacks away from the screen to maintain a balance of online and offline time, but I eat most of my meals while typing on my keyboard. As you know, sometimes it’s a challenge to keep your hands clean.

If you’re eating pizza, chips, Cheetos, popcorn, a sandwich or anything that is typically eaten with your hands, that doesn’t marry well with a keyboard or a controller. It’s important to keep your hands clean, and if you are like me, you probably go through a ton of napkins and wash your hands constantly. There is a better way to keep your fingers and hands clean though. It’s a simple way smart geeks can keep their hands clean during this process.

The solution is…chopsticks!

It’s such a brilliantly simple answer. You can use chopsticks to eat almost anything that you would normally eat with your hands. This idea is apparently so popular that there is a Facebook page for Eating Cheetos With Chopsticks.

So the next time you are trying to figure out how you can finish that blog post you’re working on (or get to your next high score) while attending to your stomach’s needs too, just grab a pair of chopsticks. If you don’t have any, you can pick up a pair for cheap, or ask for them with your next Chinese food takeout order. You can eat almost anything with them, and it works like a charm. No more messy fingers. You’ll be able to keep your hands clean without washing them every few minutes. It’s a brilliant little lifehack that will serve you well!
