I love this tent so much, but then again, I’m a little bit of a hippie. I occasionally wear Birkenstocks, I use the word groovy, I’ve been known to flash the peace sign, and I went out to dinner once with a guy just because he drove a VW Bug and I wanted to ride in it (not a new VW Bug, but one straight out of the 1970s). I don’t know if those things really qualify me as a hippie, but I know if I had this tent I’d go camping more often.
For whatever reason, creative tents have been really popular over the past year. I’ve seen them all over the place online. Richard even wrote about some a few months back in his article FieldCandy: The Most Creative Tents You Will Ever See. All those tents were great (especially the Swiss cheese tent with the mouse crawling in the hole), but this VW bus tent is without a doubt the best one I’ve seen yet.
I guarantee you, if you go camping with this tent, you’ll be the star of the campground. It’s modeled after the VW bus that was popular in 1965. It comes in red, peppermint patty green, or that iconic blue color that we all know and love. Depending where in the world you live, you can buy this on amazon, sleeping bag suits or firebox. Just remember, if the tent’s a rockin, don’t come knockin.
