Eye-Popping Fan Created Chewbacca Costume

Fan Created Chewbacca Cosplay Costume

I am one of those people who lacks a good Halloween costume every year. Even though we’ve picked up the annual event quite furiously in the last couple of years, it’s never been my interest to keep my costumes after I have worn them. Maybe I am not the cosplay dude I would really like to be, but that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the community immensely. One costume I have kept is actually Hannibal Lecter‘s outfit. It’s in the wardrobe waiting to come out again; however, I am sure it will still be there in a couple of years since it would be quite boring to attend a party with the same costume I wore the year before.

When it comes to creating our own cosplay costume, there is one guy in particular that needs, and by all means deserves, all the attention in the world. The guy I am talking about is a dude who calls himself Dougie Fett, and I have come to the conclusion that creating his very own realistic Chewbacca costume was probably the only way to get things right. After all, buying such a costume that looks this good would probably cost thousands of dollars, so making it himself was probably a good decision.

And boy is it a good “build.” The costume looks amazingly and a a little freakishly authentic. The process was anything but simple, and every single detail was carefully planned and executed. The hair alone must have pretty much taken a whole week to get in place in order to look just right. You have to admit that not only does this guy possess the patience of a turtle, but he also has some mad skills when it comes to creating his very own Chewbacca costume. Bring on the cosplay bitches! You ain’t beating this! Follow the whole process on Dougie’s website!
