Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Pokéballs [Chart]

What Is A Pokeball Pokemon

The person who titled this chart “WTF Is A Pokéball?” is very wise in my opinion. I’m sure a lot of people have asked themselves that same question. I know when I first got into Pokémon several years ago, I asked myself that question at least a dozen times.

If you want to know what a pokéball is, I have two answers for you. The short answer is, it’s something used for catching and storing pokémon. The long answer is, read this chart for everything you ever wanted to know about them. I learned a lot of useless yet geeky fun things about pokéballs from this. For example, I never knew there were exactly 26 different types of pokéballs. That could definitely come in handy for a trivia game someday.

This is surprisingly well put together, and that comes from someone who used to play Pokémon with the best of them. If you want to see what happens when a pokéball gets romantic, check out this very sweet Pokérose. There’s also a rainbow pokéball bouquet on sale today on Etsy. I love it when people make flowers out of these little balls, it’s so creative. (Chart created by Hunson Is Groovy)
