My son has been asking me for a tree house for years. I never had a tree house growing up, so I don’t know much about them, but I’m ready to fulfill his wish, so I’ve begun the research to learn everything I can about tree houses and what they are all about.

Along the way, I stumbled across something that I knew I had to share with you. This is an adult tree house that is to die for! And, yes, it’s actually a house in a tree, not a fort or some wood hammered together but an actual eco-friendly room that you could live in for an extended period of time.

I’m suddenly in fantasy land. When life gets too hectic or stressful, how fun would it be to escape to your own private heaven, your own tree house fully stocked with your favorite things, out in the woods, completely surrounded by nature. I could really get into that for sure! According to http://freshome.com, “This incredible looking tree house is called a ‘Free Spirit Sphere’ and it is designed by Tom Chudleigh. It is an eco-friendly living quarter that was created to co-exist unobtrusively with its forest environment. Wooden spheres are built much like a cedar strip canoe or kayak, suspension points are similar to the chain plate attachments on a sailboat and the stairways hang from a tree much like a sailboat’s shrouds hang from the mast.”

You can learn all about the magic of this type of tree house on the official website here: http://freespiritspheres.com. It says on the site that staying in the sphere will re-awaken your creative mind. I want to get inside one right now and feel the experience. You can take a tour of the inside of a sphere in the short video below. The only downside I see is that it wobbles as it dangles from the tree, so I could see some potential dizziness.
