All you Lego fanatics out there know that whenever there is a new epic build, we cover it. Hopefully all of you will keep sending us your builds so we can sift through them in pursuit of the most insane and awesome ones. You always know you are in for a treat when you see something out of the ordinary in the title, and this certainly is. I have always wondered where the big cities and large Lego landscapes went. Nowadays it seems it’s all about single items or portraits. That’s all cool of course, but it would be nice to see something retro when it comes to Lego. It’s been a while now since we’ve seen something like that.
When the first Predator movie came out featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger, it was one of my favorite movies. Actually, every action movie released during the ’80s and early ’90s were my favorites. Back then, everything was… well, awesome! Now it’s all special effects and uber advanced. Sure, it’s insanely impressive to watch movies like Avatar and the list could go on forever, but there was just something about those movies released back in the days.
Shawn Snyder seems to share my admiration for the Predator monster (alien) and has actually put together one of the coolest busts you have ever seen. It’s not the usual and ordinary thing either. Predator is a skull collector, and that has certainly not been left out of this build. Incorporated is pretty much every detail you can think of when it comes to the Predator. I keep wondering how much planning goes into a build like this, and how the hell they managed to bend, twist and pivot the Lego blocks like they wanted. I assume that glue is not an option when it comes to building Lego, so the question remains. If anyone has an answer, I would very much like to hear it.
