DIY Doctor Who “Crack In The Universe” For Your Own Wall

I’m a huge fan of the Doctor, and I’ve incorporated a TARDIS into many aspects of my life. My hand-painted TARDIS iPhone 5 cover is a great way to start a conversation with anyone since so many people ask me about it. It occurs to me that when it comes to Doctor Who, the only articles I’ve written (and there have been a lot) have to do with a TARDIS. I’m happy that today I get to write about another way you can invite the Doctor into your life, and that’s through a DIY crack in the universe you can build in your own wall.

Whether you want to be erased from history, you just like embedded LEDs or you need a house call from the Doctor, you have to admit this thing is awesome! This one-of-a-kind crack in the universe was built by the roommate of the blogger at Doctor Who Overdose.

The Doctor once said, “Must be a hell of a scary crack in your wall.” Although this DIY crack in the universe doesn’t look scary, when I look at it, it makes me wonder if a crack like that could really exist. Discovery News published an article about that back in 2010, and they included a picture taken by NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope which shows a very similar image. You can click on Is Doctor Who’s Crack In The Universe Real? to read more about it.

If I had to choose between a crack in the universe or a TARDIS to be real, I’d still choose a TARDIS. How about you? A TARDIS is usually the place my mind goes to have fun. Unfortunately, there is no tutorial I can find to help you make your own crack, but it looks relatively simple. If you want to make one of these, hopefully these pictures will be all you need for your own inspiration.
