DIY Kitty TARDIS Playhouse For Cats Who Love The Doctor

Cat-TARDIS-Doctor-Who-House

I am one of those people who believes everyone should have their own TARDIS. I remember sitting in my closet with the door closed and pretending it was a TARDIS-like machine when I was a little girl, and that was before I ever knew a TARDIS existed. Even now, there is a restaurant here in Atlanta that has an old-fashioned phone booth in the front that I want to buy and turn into a TARDIS. So far, I can’t talk them into selling it to me, so I might just have to build my own. I’ve already written about a girl who did that, and hers turned out fabulous. You can check out the pictures at DIY TARDIS.

Since these days our pets live practically like humans, I think it’s safe to say that our dogs and cats might enjoy having a TARDIS of their own, don’t you think? TARDIS Builders forum member astromark thought that, and he built this TARDIS Cat Fort for his kitty to play in Doctor Who style. Since everyone knows that cats have secret powers that human beings don’t know about, a TARDIS seems like it would be right up their alley. Apparently astromark’s kitty, named Kaylee, loves it.

I think if I created one of these for Mary, she might like it, although I don’t think she’d want to travel through time in it since she doesn’t like to be very far away from me. I’d want to travel through time though. I’d travel just far enough ahead to find out what the iPhone 5 looks like for real, and then I’d report back to you all. Yup, that’s what I’d do. You can see more of astromark’s pictures on the link above. It sure looks cozy on the inside!

This is another TARDIS he made (below), which he used as inspiration for his kitty one.
