Cosplay In America: Weird But Awesome

Cosplay In America Photography Book

I can’t believe that Cosplay is becoming such a huge community. Not too long ago, it was just seen at events around the world as a promotion. People dressed up like the gamers’ favorite characters to promote the latest installment of the game. It was pure business back then. Now it’s an entirely different thing, and it breathes enthusiasm and creativity into everyone that is involved in it. Sometimes the creations and costumes are even far better than the ones we’ve previously seen custom created by the game developers around the world. But what is this all about? Is it just a way to spend your days as a life size Super Mario or any other character you might happen to like? Not at all, it’s more of a creativity showcase.

People around the world want to express their love for games, and they do it through their creativity. Some people are of course better than others; however, there is no competition between these people. It’s all fun and games. To sum it all up into one single sentence is pretty much impossible. Photographer Ejen Chuang is preparing a book called “Cosplay In America,” and it features a ton of costumes and gadgets created by the community.

Have a look at some of these and make up your own mind about whether you love it or just like it because there is really no other choice. You have to applaud the creativity some of these people have managed to crank out. Pretty much every single one of these concepts is spot on, and you can imagine that when these guys get together, it’s one of the freakiest and craziest parties you have ever seen. Forget masquerade as a title, this is a full on Cosfest, and it will likely evolve into something even more awesome! Whatever that is!
