Cool and Unusual Business Card Designs

02/27/2010 - 1:00 am By Misty Belardo

A business card is an important tool as leave behind material for any individual who wants others to connect with them easily.  I make sure I carry one all the times.  Business cards usually just consist of the person’s name, address and telephone number and of course if one has a logo then it should be there are well.  But now, people are more inclined to give out unusually designed business cards.

They do so because of one prime reason, you would want your prospective business partners to keep your business card and for others, they want to create some utility to it.  They now not only don’t play with eye catching colors but also with shapes and folding.  Others use die cutting, while others make sure that the cards are sturdy enough for people to actually use them.  I love the first one on the list and that is the LEGO business cards.

What Lego did was create characters of the person (hair color, look, personality) and then place the details on the image itself!  Creativity at its best!  Here is a collection of some of the other business cards that are truly creative and definitely not your usual kind! Enjoy!

Hmmm… you know, as a writer, I’d love to see a business card/book with maybe a few choice pages. Wouldn’t that be cool? I’m going to see a printer about the possibility…

I asked the lego company about those ones, but they said their employees don’t get any customized figures….but they did refer me to some company that makes screen printed ones.

…I still haven’t found a place that would screen print words onto one though. :p

The rest of those are pretty cool though…I liked the Google one. (:

The chaps over at http://www.plasmadesign.co.uk/businesscards.htm produce some pretty special business cards using metal and plastic. They are based in the UK but ship worldwide.

Love the creativity! My fave is the cutout standup guy, but they are all fun. Since we likely have the info electronically anyway, these represent a great way to stand out in a competitive creative market!

Thanks for sharing!

Incredible designs!! Business cards can be ordinary, boring and something that you just have to give out… but these all are ones that you’d be proud to hand to someone. Excellent concepts, all of them. I work in the print business, so I wonder about cost, tho… :)
