Body As Joint: This Is What We’ll Wear In The Future

Future Laser Cut Clothing Fashion

I know I have pointed it out a lot of times before, but I am not exactly the suit and tie kind of guy. Don’t get me wrong, I wear a shirt quite often, but the suit and tie fashion has never really inspired me since I am more of a t-shirt guy. Going to some events of course requires some “up-clothing” every once in a while, and I follow the trends, but… I think you get the picture. Fashion is such a living organism, and it’s a constantly changing medium for your cool and the way you portray yourself. Let’s just say that I am more of a Hollister fan than some expensive Armani guff. Once again, don’t get me wrong, Armani has some rather cool stuff as well… Oh boy, did I just write myself into a corner here. Let’s just say that I dress for the occasion, maybe that’s a bit more descriptive.

It seems that soon we won’t have to worry about what we’ll wear since the the future has something else in store for us. Concept designer Yitzhak Abecassis had a premonition that fashion is about to change, and quite drastically as well I might add. In the future, he says we’ll be wearing pre-laser cut sheets of solid neoprene which will have a multifunction when it comes to how we will be able to wear it, or rather, how we choose to wear it.

I don’t know, but I don’t feel like wearing any of these things anytime soon. I’d rather walk around in shorts and a t-shirt than attending to this particular fashion trend. I don’t know about you, but the future I see in these images (and in the video of course) is a future that lies far beyond the reach of my imagination. Maybe it’s just me, but hopefully this trend will not catch on during my lifetime because waking up to a wardrobe full of grayish sheets of… whatever is not exactly the way I want to wake up on an inspiring and smiling morning, if you know what I mean. How about you? Is this something that will tickle your fancy? Maybe all of you hardcore sci-fi fans out there are ready to comply? Or?
