Become A Jedi Master: The First Star Wars School Opens

Jedi Martial Arts Academy

Ahh… to be a kid in today’s world must be an incredible experience. Not only do you get to grow up with mind blowing technology and gaming like we never had when we were young, but you might even have the opportunity to attend this first ever Star Wars school called “The Jedi Temple” in Chile.

When you think about it, it’s not so far fetched. Children between the ages of 6 and 12 get to live the Star Wars dream while learning martial arts combined with Jedi values like wisdom, nobility and meditation. The more I write about this, the more I want to go myself. If this were a franchise, I’d totally want in.

William Berrueta, the man who started the school last year, said, “As a yoga and Taekwondo instructor, I got the idea to integrate these disciplines with mediation and do something more holistic and funny, looking to entertain children and interpret those characters of whom they are fans.”

And yes, in case you are wondering, there is lightsaber training as part of the curriculum. Now I have your attention, right? It’s the coolest little school ever! Right now, they are only accepting 20 kids to be part of the program. Get this; the monthly fee to attend this school is only $36. I’m ready to go to Chile today! Now I just have to figure out how to look 12 years old. Wow… what a dream come true!
