Wow, right when I thought we had featured just about everything that could possibly be built out of Lego, I stumbled across these British birds entirely created from Lego bricks. This is the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this before. We’ve featured Angry Birds made from Lego, but these are real birds, and even in their Lego form, they still look like real birds!
DeTomaso Pantera (DeTomaso77) built these, and he even included a little habitat for each one. He gave each one of these birds a name. Below you will meet Woody the Greater Spotted Woodpecker, Gloria the Goldfinch, Bobby the Robin Red Breast, Kingsley the Kingfisher, Billy the Blue Tit and Penelope the Puffin.
If you click on the images themselves to see them much larger, you will be blown away by the detail in each one. According to DeTomaso77, he will be adding many more birds to his growing collection. You can check his flickr page to read about each one and view new ones as he adds them. According to flickr, his occupation is tree surgeon and Lego monster. I don’t know about the tree surgeon part, but he sure is a Lego monster. You can also check him out on MOC pages. The first bird, Bobby the Robin Red Breast, is definitely my favorite. I would love to have this collection on the shelf in my office!
