The first installment of the prequel movie series The Hobbit has finally premiered, and it looks to become one of the year’s most successful movies. There are a lot of people who have been waiting for this movie in which we are once again invited to Middle Earth. It has now been over 9 years since Peter Jackson finished his work on The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King which won 11 Oscars and made the series legendary. Hobbits, wizards, elves and dwarves have all became popular topics on the Internet, and we saw countless spoofs and comedy reenactments of the movies. There is one lingering question in the new movies. How on earth are we supposed to tell all the “new” Hobbit dwarves apart?

In the new Hobbit movies, there are several new dwarves presented, and they all have their own look and style. I have to admit that when I watched the first trailer, even I was majorly confused by the Hobbit dwarves. They were everywhere, and there are a lot of them. For people who have read The Hobbit book, I am sure it’s a dream come true to once and for all see them all come alive on the silver screen. But the Hobbit dwarves are still confusing to many, and that’s what I hope this article will help to clear up.

An interesting and quite useful infographic called Hobbit Dwarves Cheat Sheet presented by LOTR Project seems to have all the answers we are looking for. It’s a type of flowchart that will tell you exactly who is who and how to tell all the Hobbit dwarves apart. If you want to be absolutely sure you are following the events when you go to the movies to see The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, all you need to do is print this Hobbit dwarves cheat sheet and take it with you. It will come in handy since you will surely be in for a ride. Hold onto your seat and try to keep up because the Hobbit dwarves are many, and at times almost too many since some look just alike. Let the journey begin!
