The Reason Kids Shouldn’t Cook Unsupervised [Humor]

Kids Shouldn't Have Cooking Show

Is it just me or does it seem like everyone has a cooking show these days? It’s so popular now that cooking shows are even becoming the butt of Internet jokes everywhere. I remember when Charlie Sheen did his Winning Recipes cooking show spoof for Funny or Die. To me, funny little videos like that are way more entertaining than cooking shows themselves.

I have to admit, I never thought I’d see the day when I would be writing an article about kids getting hurt in the kitchen while cooking without adult supervision, but I am. This thing is so funny to me, and it clearly illustrates why kids shouldn’t cook alone, and also why they probably shouldn’t have a cooking show.

This fun little nugget of controversial humor was created by Bottom of the Barrel. It’s obviously very well put together and produced. My question is, how does a person even think to create a video like this? I didn’t realize until I watched this how dangerous a kitchen can really be. The garbage disposal, oven, blender and cheese grader are like lethal weapons. If you can get passed the fingers getting chopped off, the hands getting burned, and the tongue getting sliced, I think you will get a good laugh out of this just like I did. Enjoy!
