Minecraft Day One Short Movie

I wonder if anyone out there may have missed the ultimate game of the year, Minecraft. I mean, the game has been downloaded more than 20 million times and almost 5 million people have bought it by now. That’s an incredible amount of sales for an Indie game. That’s especially true when you think about the fact that it was created by one single guy. It has created a whole new market on YouTube and also, somewhat like Angry Birds, spawned a whole slew of products created around it. The game is an open world adventure RPG game with the retro graphics of the ’80s, and it will allow you to do pretty much whatever you want.

However, now there is a new alternate world unveiled. This one is fan-made and cost a whopping €3 to create. I am talking about the Minecraft: Day One short movie created and directed by Benjamin Combes. It’s a really well done amateur video that will have any fans of Minecraft shiver in their bones. Finally there is a reality to the game that is imaginable. I mean, almost anyways. If you haven’t checked out Minecraft yet, it’s about time. It will give you an endless amounts of fun and that is almost guaranteed.

The short movie is just over 4 minutes long, and it will take you through the beginnings of your adventure. It’s commonly known that you start out with nothing, and then you get going by punching tress in order to get wood. Then the whole infinite world is at your disposal. What you make of it is entirely up to you. I must say that I have seen a lot of Minecraft videos, but none as good as this one. Let yourself be hooked on the best Indie game of 2011. It’s well worth the time… at least to check this video out.
