Hollywood Is Dead: 16 Zombiefied Posters From Star Wars & More

We’ve featured a lot of zombie mashups in the past, but these hand-painted movie posters by Hollywood Is Dead raise the bar when it comes to zombie art. Many of us have a love-hate relationship with zombies. Even though we are all doing what we can to avoid the impending zombie apocalypse, zombies make everything more fun, so we love them even though they’d eat our brains out in a minute.

Matt Busch from Hollywood Is Dead is truly a brilliant artist with so much creativity and imagination inside him. He re-imagined a whole huge collection of classic movie posters as if they were zombiefied. I’ve only featured a small sampling here, but if you click over to the Hollywood Is Dead website, you can view them all. He takes zombie art to the extreme, and the detail in some of these is extraordinary.

Of course, I put all the Star Wars posters first, but you’ll also see some of your other favorites below like zombified posters from Lord of the Rings, Breakfast Club, Harry Potter, Edward Scissorhands and Indiana Jones. It’s an eclectic mix of retro and current movies which have all been given the zombie treatment.

In a Shock Till You Drop interview with Hollywood Is Dead Artist Matt Busch, he explains the intricate process of how he chooses which movie poster to paint. Since he paints each one of these himself, it’s a painstakingly time consuming process which he has down to a science. If you would like to purchase any of these posters, you can. Just click over to Matt’s site for the deets. If you’d like to see more Star Wars zombie madness, click over to Death Troopers: A Bloody Stormtroopers & Zombie Mashup. It’s crazy to me how artists can interpret zombies in such completely different ways. It just reflects the individuality and uniqueness present within each one of us.
