Aww…5 Anne Geddes Style Photos With Adults Instead Of Babies

Anne-Geddes-Tribute-With-Adults

I just read this morning that Anne Geddes is the world’s best selling photographer. She has sold over 18 million photography books. If you don’t know who I’m talking about, she is the one who photographs little babies in the cutest poses ever. Many times they are asleep when she snaps the pics, and they’re the most adorable photos you’ve ever seen. Here is a Google Images sampling.

There have been several Anne Geddes parodies over the past few years, but the one VICE decided to put together recently is the funniest one yet. The photographs below belong to their collection called “A Tribute to the World’s Greatest Photographer.”

As you see, these are adults in famous Anne Geddes baby poses, and I can’t stop giggling over them. It’s interesting how at different times of our lives, different things are appropriate. It seems perfectly acceptable to put a naked baby in a clay pot or a tulip, but adults…Yeah, it’s a little creepy. There’s something about those nurturing hands holding that chubby guy with the tattoos and facial hair that makes me gag a little, which makes them even better. These creative photographs were taken by Lee Goldup, and the models are simply named Josh, Rufus, Jess and Olivia.

Something tells me that if Anne Geddes took these kind of photographs, she might not be as popular as she is today. If you’d like to check out some more Anne Geddes style photography that’s not really Anne Geddes photography, click over to Geeky Babies: Batman & Robin Crocheted Baby Costumes. That photographer did a great job combining the Anne Geddes style with a geeky edge. I even saw today that Anne Geddes has her own game on iTunes. She’s definitely a photographer who has colored our world in her own unique way, and this is a great tribute!
