What could be better than getting your wedding rings, saying your vows and getting a marriage certificate all in less than two minutes for a dollar at a vending machine? Okay, I can think of a lot of things better than that, but hey, don’t knock it till you try it, right?
This pretty pink Autowed Wedding Machine is a little novelty retro-looking device that I think would be so much fun at parties or even in a club. No need to rush to Vegas for a quickie, just bum a buck from a friend and head on over to the machine. Everything from the automated voice to punching in your names on the keyboard is just so romantic, isn’t it?
It took Concept Shed three months, over 300 bespoke parts and 1,500 lines of code to create this eight foot tall beauty. They considered every detail down to the heart shaped speaker covers and retro keyboard. The whole thing has a real 1950s look to it. The pink-Cadillac color really completes the look.
The keyboard itself has a very cool steampunk look to it, which is a little hard to see in these pictures. You can click over to The Autowed Retro Keyboard to see how they made it. This particular machine was built for Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum in Detroit. However, you can contact Concept Shed and they will be happy to make one for you too.
