The Dark Knight Rises: Fabulous Fan-Created Poster Art

Dark Knight Rises Fan Posters

Have you noticed an increase in fan-created post art lately? I have. We’ve always seen inspiring poster art created by artistic fans for just about every movie out there, but lately, those posters are getting more creative, more innovative, more interesting and simply more fabulous.

Why is that? According to Movie Marketing Madness, it is because there is a need that’s not being fed by the studios. “The more official movie marketing looks like the cover of a celebrity gossip magazine, the more people will latch onto these sorts of truly inventive pieces of poster art.”

I’ve always thought the colors in all the Batman movies are deep, seductive and stunning. It’s no surprise that creative fans would have fun making poster art for those movies. The Dark Knight Rises, which we all know is the next Batman movie staring Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway, will be released in 2012. Christopher Nolan announced earlier this month that the cast will be in Pittsburgh, the most recent home for Gotham, all summer filming the final installment.

This poster art below, in my opinion, is better than any studio made movie posters I’ve ever seen. Every single one of these was created by a fan, and they all reflect the true characters and storyline of the next Batman film. You can see more of these posters, learn about the artists for each one, and find out with what the inspiration was for each poster on Forever Geek. All I can say is… Wow!
