I know this isn’t supposed to be funny, but for some reason, writing this article is making me laugh. I mean, really? A clipboard? All joking aside, I know that this can be serious business. I know how important personal safety is, and this invention is really fascinating to me.
Ballistic Systems creates bulletproof clipboards for law enforcement officers (and anyone paranoid about a shoot out happening in their office) around the globe. I think the people over at Red Ferret summed it up well when they said, “Keep a couple of these and a roll of duct tape around, and you’ve got yourself a makeshift bulletproof vest.” Or, you could just buy a bulletproof vest.
I’d be curious to know what kind of research Ballistic Systems did to finally decide on making a bulletproof clipboard. I mean, if we are talking office supplies, why not a bulletproof three-ring binder, a dry-erase board or a notebook? Oh well, for only $30 bucks, I’d buy one of these. Nothing would make me feel like I was working with Jack Bauer more than having one of these badboys!
