I’ve heard of using a pothole as a prop for creating intriguing artwork. There are some very interesting pictures of that here. However, I’ve never heard of making beautiful art by using a manhole cover!
Maybe you all have heard of this before – it’s known as the art of “drainspotting.” In Japan, Remo Camerota is a well-known drainspotter. According to TrendLand, he is so into it that he even created an iPad/iPhone app about it, and he published a book about it.
As you see below, his work is spectacular. His passion oozes off the page, even in just these photographs. I would love to see this in person. From what I’ve read, his artwork can be found on manhole covers all over Japan.
