We’ve all seen interesting food designs every now and then, but ever since Pinterest has gotten so popular, now mind-twisting and bizarrely creative food designs are everywhere. Sometimes it seems like they are taking over the Internet. It reminds me of back around 2008 when cats started becoming super popular online. The popularity of cats hasn’t died down much, and I hope food designs will have the same staying power since I enjoy them so much.
Creative foodies have really shown us again and again that there are no limits with what you can make in the kitchen. These high heels made from cupcakes and this burger that looks like Darth Vader are probably my favorites that I’ve written about so far. The design I’d like to share with you today is one of those that looks like one thing but is really another. It’s the kind of thing that will invert your brain inside out.
We’ve seen people combine breakfast foods together before. Richard even wrote about this whole breakfast in a cupcake, but this design takes that concept to a whole new level. These eggs and sausages are made from white chocolate, M&Ms and pretzel sticks! It was submitted 2 days ago on reddit by dragonworthy. There is not a lot of information about how these were made, but I do know that yellow M&Ms make up the yolk. I found a recipe for almost the same thing at Bacon and Eggs. You can check that out if you’d like to make these yourself.
Now the only question is, would you be able to eat this or would it freak you out that it looks like an egg and sausage yet tastes like chocolate and pretzels? Hmm… Somehow I think I would be able to get over that and eat it anyway!
