We’ve seen a lot of stormtrooper gender bender stuff over the past year, and it’s getting better and better. When I first started noticing that kind of art, it freaked me out a little. I mean, stormtroopers are supposed to be guys, right? It’s not that they couldn’t be women, but in my mind, they have always been men. Even the first art collections I saw with women stormtroopers looked forced and stiff, as if the artist struggled with it as well.
All that has changed now, and stormtrooper ladies seem to be everywhere these days. My favorite one so far is the stormtrooper French maid in this Funky Tattoo Girls article. Today I’d like to share with you some more stormtrooper ladies, and they are look beautiful too.
These were drawn by artist Cisternas, and in her society 6 store, you can see the rest of the collection and even purchase them as framed prints, cards, iPhone cases or iPod/iPhone skins. They are about $17, which I think is very reasonable for such unique Star Wars art. I suppose to a guy who is a geek and a big Star Wars fan, a girl stormtrooper is sexy, like a dream come true. Shoot, I’m a girl, and I still think these are sexy. Now I want a stormtrooper helmet for myself. Next time I watch Star Wars, I’ll be wondering if all those stormtroopers in training are men, or if there are some women in those uniforms too!
