STD-Free Fashion: An Elegant Dress Created From 700 Condoms

Dress Made From Condoms

I know what you’re asking yourself, and no, the condoms weren’t used. Geeez… Get your mind out of the gutter, will ya? This dress is really beautiful, and at first glance, you’d never know it was made from 700 latex condoms.

Nguyen Minh Tuan, a student in Vietnam, created this for his graduation project. He decided to make a dress from condoms to raise awareness about condoms in Vietnam and to bring attention to World HIV/Aids Day two days ago. He said, “I made this project in the hope of raising the self-consciousness of Vietnamese people towards protecting their loved ones by avoiding STDs.” Apparently there is a cultural taboo against condoms in Vietnam, and Nguyen hopes to help change that.

This dress is called “Condom Glow Fashion,” and although it’s a one-of-a-kind creation, it’s getting attention worldwide. I think this dress is absolutely stunning, and I wonder if it would be comfortable to wear. He designed it to fit all different body types, and although I’ve never considered wearing latex, I think this would be a lot of fun! The model who wore it for these pictures said it felt great, and it wasn’t awkward at all. Great job Nguyen, I hope you got an A+ on this project!
