Sprite Showers: The Most Refreshing Ad Campaign On The Beach

Sprite-Summer-Shower-Advertisement

Here we go again with some badass advertising that will open up the creativity in your mind and let it pour out like the water in these Sprite showers. We all know that people love to drink soda when they’re at the beach. If the executives at Sprite came to you and asked you to design an advertising campaign that would not only draw huge crowds to their brand but also go viral on the Internet, what would you design?

Ogilvy Brazil was given this task, and what they came up with is truly brilliant in every way. On select beaches in Brazil and Israel, when the beachgoers get super hot and in need of refreshment, they can simply go to this humongous Sprite drink machine and get instant relief with a shower of…. water. I know, I thought it was Sprite at first too, but thank goodness it’s water.

This is awesome on so many different levels. Not only is it already increasing Sprite’s brand awareness in a huge way, but it is also planting the seeds in people’s minds to associate Sprite with getting cooled off. In other words, the next time these people grab a soda to get relief from the summer heat, which brand do you think will pop into their heads first?

Apparently Sprite is also trying to get a little viral action going by asking people to like this video on YouTube. The caption reads, “Like this video and pretty soon this shower can go to a beach near you.” Without any more details about how that might happen though, that part of the campaign isn’t taking off as well. Regardless, this Sprite Shower campaign is awesomeness defined! I haven’t had a Sprite in years, and this even makes me want to drink one.
