Sculptures Made From Rat Poison Packaging

Ok, by now you know that when I come across something that will put your weird shit-o-meter into overdrive, I have to write about it.

I have no experience with rat poison. Well, other than watching it on the classic movie 9 to 5 which I’ve probably seen twenty times. However, I feel like I’ve gotten quite an education after seeing this artwork created from the rat poison packaging itself.

I wonder, how does one get inspired to make art from this? I dunno. I can’t decide if it’s crazy or creative. The New York based artist, Jason Clay Lewis, enjoys the contrast of attraction versus repulsion, thus a Virgin Mary made from a rat poison package. It all makes sense now, right? Hmm…
