Portable House Big Enough For 2 People Fits On The Back Of A Tricycle

I’ve often said that I wish I didn’t have to own a car. I would like it so much better if I could just ride my bicycle everywhere. Since I have to travel all over Atlanta each week though, that isn’t an option for me at this time. How would you like to get around the city you live in on a tricycle and carry your house with you everywhere you go? That would be the ultimate in convenience, especially if you like moving from place to place. These portable houses make that possible.

This may sound like a radical idea to you, but I think I would like this. I may not be able to do it for my whole life, but at least for a summer or a year. It would be great to go on an off-the-grid adventure for a few months in a portable house. I don’t know about the color white though. It seems like it would get dirty fast, and perhaps a beige or black color would be better. The reason it’s white is so it can let the sunlight indoors all day long.

This house was designed by the People’s Architecture Office and the People’s Industrial Design Office. It will be welcomed in China with open arms since so many people there do not have a traditional house. It’s made out of lightweight plastic, so it is apparently super easy to haul around. This portable house can be folded and unfolded (as you see in the pics) for two different experiences. It comes complete with a sink, stove, water tank, bathtub and furniture. It’s like the bike version of the RVs we have here in the States. I give this portable house a thumbs up. It seems open and airy, and almost like it’s part of nature. You couldn’t do much shopping if you lived in one of these though. I mean, it could get real heavy and full quick!
