Pokémon Characters As Tim Burton Creature Drawings

If you are a big fan of Pokémon, you know there are a myriad of different Pokémon characters that inhabit the galaxy. This global cultural phenomenon and iconic franchise was started sometime during 1996 by Satoshi Tajiri. Since then, it has become one of the leading franchises when it comes to children’s toys and collector’s items. Even though I have never had the time to get completely educated in the actual culture itself, it’s safe to say that Pokémon (or pocket monsters as it means) is going to be around for quite some time. As with everything that is popular, there is a culture out there that loves to take it and redesign it to make it even more epic. They are called mashups, and they have become a huge trend lately.

This particular mashup puts Tim Burton in the center of attention. A Tumblr user named Hat Guy took various Pokémon characters and turned them into unimaginable Tim Burton-styled creatures that I am definitely sure you haven’t seen before. I am a huge fan of Tim Burton’s movies and his truly artistic, unique style. My favorite Tim Burton movie has to be The Nightmare Before Christmas which I have seen countless times, and it is still so good.

Have a peek at these amazing drawings, and you will find that there are a lot of both Pokémon characters and Tim Burton style in these drawings. Since I am not too bewildered into the culture or phenomenon of Pokémon, I have a hard time linking the two in these pictures. However, it is crystal clear that we are looking at Tim Burton-styled drawings. These are some amazing art pieces that I think any Pokémon fan just has to see. I don’t know if Pokémon fans in general are drawn to Tim Burton movies, but this time around, the franchise and the Pokémon characters have gotten a temporary face lift which by all means is a fun change.
