Pencil Pictures: Like Literally [10 Pics]

Pencil Pictures Created With Pencils

How can you not be impressed by people when their creativity goes beyond what you could ever expect? I am a fanatic follower of some creative channels on YouTube which are pretty much just commentary gaming videos, but some of those guys are also extremely skilled at drawing. If you saw their intro-screens, you might be surprised why these guys aren’t real artists with a great reputation. They even seem like they might have artwork that would sell for thousands of dollars. Maybe that’s not what they aspire to become, but their skills are amazingly profiled and refined. However, as you know, these skills can easily become ordinary in the eyes of someone who is constantly exposed to them.

It’s when something new comes along that we really start looking at it with a fresh pair of eyes. It’s then that we realize creativity is far better to have than the ultimate skills to get that creativity out. It’s usually the finished work and the execution of it that matters, and not the refinement of it. When I saw the artwork of an artist named Ghostpatrol, I was totally impressed. The artwork that this artist produces are pencil pictures, literally.

What that means is that instead of using the pencils to draw with, the artist draws on the pencils. A slight indent is carved out in order to create a drawable surface, and the result is a multiple pencil canvas with some really cool artwork on it. The images reminds me of the graphical style in the game Minecraft, and how people continuously keep drawing the mobs from that game. I enjoy stuff like this, and you have to applaud the creativity Ghostpatrol is harboring. There are infinitely more of these creations if you go and check out the artist’s website, so don’t hesitate to do so.
