Medieval Avengers: A Wicked Collection Of Fantasy Paintings

Artists seem to be truly inspired by The Avengers. Even though that movie has been out for a while now, I keep finding new incarnations every day it seems. It reminds me a little of when the last Tron movie was released. Right around that time, there were so many Tron-inspired designs created as a result of that movie that we could have probably written about one a day for a year and still not run out. It’s like that a little with The Avengers too, and when I stumble across really, really good stuff, you know I’ll share it with you.

This artwork below definitely falls into the extraordinary category. These are so well designed, and I just can’t stop staring at them.

I love the whole fantasy-themed style mixed with The Avengers, and it’s a creative combination I would have never thought of if I hadn’t seen these redesigned characters. These paintings were created by deviantART member ~theDURRRRIAN. He and his housemate started drawing them when they were bored in class, and those drawings spawned this incredible collection of paintings. It’s fun to see a spark of inspiration result in something this fantastic. Dang, suddenly the dog drawings I used to make while bored in class seem really lame.
