This Luxury Treehouse Design Will Make You Want To Live In A Tree

We love treehouse designs on Bit Rebels. We’ve written about them many times, but I’ve never seen one like this before. Staying in this treehouse would be like visiting a 5-star resort. It comes complete with a 60-inch plasma television, a Jacuzzi, a fancy fireplace and a custom bathroom sink that is more creative than any bathroom since I’ve ever had. The best way I can describe it is to say it’s like a real house, only in a tree. The craziest part is that the creator, Chris Whalley, built it mostly from wood that washed up on a beach close by.

Chris started the process by creating his treehouse design on the computer. Once he actually started building it, it just got better and better. It took him seven months and $98,000 to complete the project. In addition to using drift wood, he also used other scraps of materials that washed up on the beach to create a table, a bed and other amenities. This luxury treehouse now holds the record for being the tallest habitable treehouse in Britain. Chris and his wife have six kids, and I’m sure they will make a lot of fun memories in their new abode.

Since everything in this treehouse is one-of-a-kind, it makes the treehouse design itself even more extraordinary. Chris has now made his treehouse available for booking (for vacationers), and apparently people from the States all the way to Australia are making reservations. What an inspiring project! You can learn more about the story behind this incredible treehouse design on SWNS. If you want to see another luxury treehouse that is to die for, check out the Treehouse Castle. Somehow the tiny treehouse I had as a kid (with no walls and a tin can for a telephone) doesn’t seem so exciting anymore.
