LED Eyeshadow: Now You Can Look Like A Cyborg

I remember back in the days when LED lights were mostly just used as a tool to enhance technology. Whether it was an interactive billboard, a super geeky mod or even a fabulous light installation, LED lights were everywhere a few years ago.

Then something interesting happened. Someone somewhere decided it would be fun to combine technology and fashion, and suddenly we started seeing LED lights incorporated into dresses and high heel shoes. One designer even took this trend to another level and created a suit using laser diodes. He called it a laser suit, but to me, it was a John Travolta suit.

Soon, LED lights took even another interesting twist and created yet another trend. Somebody decided that LED lights needed to be incorporated onto our face. Call me old fashioned, but I really think this is where I draw the line. There is just something about the possibility of being zapped by an LED light on my eye or in my mouth that skeeves me out.

However, apparently it’s the makeup of the future, so we might as well embrace it. Here are some LED eyelashes so you can flutter your technology-enhanced eyelashes for your sweetheart. And, of course, here is your LED smile. Forget teeth whitening, with an LED smile, you’ll have the brightest, whitest teeth on the block. Wanna add even more LED lights to your look? Industrial designer Lulin Ding designed this LED eyeshadow. According to ecouterre, “The concept consists of a system of wires connected to an LED bulb that bathes the eyelid in light, essentially “painting” it with color.” Hmm…
