Know The Warning Signs Of Art [Humor]

Warning Signs Art Advertising Campaign

I remember back in the old days, colleges and universities didn’t do any advertising, or at least not any that I ever saw. When students finished high school, they visited colleges, chose one they liked and applied. I don’t remember anyone ever choosing a college based on an advertisement.

These days it’s a lot different. I see advertisements for colleges and universities all the time. They are everywhere, just like ads for any other product or service. With the cost of college on the rise and so much competition, the ads have to be eye-catching and very creative in order to even be noticed.

The very fun people over at Team Detroit recently created this ad campaign for the College for Creative Studies in Michigan. They basically spoofed the traditional anti-drug ads we are all used to seeing. In these very funny ads, they paid attention to every detail. Even in the lower right corner where it usually reads, “talk to your kids about drugs” it reads “talk to your kids about art school.” The campaign, called “Know the Warning Signs of Art” is so well done, and they even make me want to click over to the college website to see what it’s all about. I would love to know exactly how they came up with this idea. Brilliant!
