If A Star Wars Invasion Happened IRL [14 Black & White Pics]

star-wars-black-white-invasion

This is so morbid, but in a science fiction kind of way. It may be the best set of images you look at today. This is a new perspective on Star Wars that we haven’t featured before, and it’s a goooood one. The original Star Wars trilogy is definitely my favorite set of movies ever, but one thing I’ve never thought about is what it would be like if those galactic battles were fought IRL, in our current world.

In this stunning collection of black and white Star Wars images, graphic designer Sig Vicious makes that thought a reality as Darth Vader and his army of stormtroopers take over the largest city (and capital) of Iceland in a modern day battle that will make Star Wars fans everywhere squeal with delight. Although I really like the picture of R2-D2 and C-3PO peering out of the window at the coffee shop, I can’t say that one is my favorite since there are so many others here that I like just as much.

You can view them all at Reykjavik Invasion. Not only did making these images in black and white add so much to their impact, but also seeing the scale of everything is so neat too, like the size of the AT-AT compared to the people and cars. I can’t say enough good things about this… They’re brilliant! You can learn more about Sig Vicious on his website. He’s got a lot of other really amazing stuff there, and it’s definitely worth checking out.
