Hot Chocolate On A Stick: Decadent Deliciousness

Hot Chocolate On A Stick

Almost every food comes on a stick these days. I remember the first time I saw these Pop Tarts on a stick, and I drooled for days. After that, I even wrote a post about 20 Unusual Foods On A Stick. I never realized before today though that drinks could be served on a stick too, well, sort of. This is hot chocolate on a stick, and I could easily imagine putting this in my hot milk or coffee every day. Nom nom!

These were created by Kristi at 30 Pounds of Apples. She writes, “The concept is simple enough. Take a really, really good chocolate, melt it, add cocoa and powdered sugar, pipe into a mold, add a stick, and call yourself Willy Wonka.

The mold she used in this example is an ice cube tray, which she says works perfectly. If you want your hot chocolate to look like hot chocolate on a stick and not chocolate lollipops, add marshmallows to the top. Melting chocolate can be tricky, and according to Kristi, the microwave works best for that. If you’d like to see more pictures and get the complete recipe, just click over to Hot Chocolate Sticks. Or, if you want to take the easy way out, you can go to Petrossian and buy six for $24. Either way, what a brilliant idea!
