Get Your Geek On: The Circuit Board Coffee Table

Recycled Motherboard Coffee Table

This coffee table is completely geektastic on so many levels. We’ve seen circuit board coffee tables before, like this one Richard wrote about called the Motherboard Coffee Table; however, we’ve never seen one quite like this.

This table gets the ultimate geek award because the computer parts aren’t put into the table, but rather, they are the table. Not only that, these are old parts that would probably end up in a landfill somewhere if not reused. It’s yet another example of taking what some people might consider trash and turning it into a fun treasure.

According to the BRC Designs website, “The surface is completely covered with a collage of motherboards, computer chips, led screens and hard drive disks bent into the proper form and held in place by sheet metal screws.” In keeping with the whole recycled theme, the glass on the tabletop was even found in an old abandoned warehouse. And last but certainly not least; this table will also entertain you while you sip that tea in the morning. The hardware is interactive and there is stuff all over it that spins, clicks, slides, etc… This geeky table is affectionately called the Binary Table 01.
