Geek Style: Belt Buckles Made From Computer Mice

Geeky Nerd Mouse Belt Buckles

Yeah, I’ve officially seen it all now. Well, maybe not, but that’s the first thought that came to my head when I saw these Mac and PC mouse belt buckles. Looking at these makes me think they are more for nerds than geeks, but I would wear one. Yup, that’s right. You might see me sporting one of these at the next Tweetup, you never know.

The only thing that would make these little badboys more badass would be if they actually double-clicked or right-clicked to go on and off, which they don’t, but that’s cool. Even cuter than these mice is the story behind them. The makers, Holly and PJ, are planning to get married on October 6, 2012. They are trying to raise money for their perfect wedding, so they opened an Etsy store to sell their creations. They call themselves GettingWeddy.

They sell things they’ve knitted, beaded, and even made from the comics from their local newspaper. PJ found a box of old mice he was saving for e-waste day so he could recycle them. He suddenly realized they were the same size as his belt buckle, and the rest is now a match made in geek heaven. Surprisingly, they sell these for only around $22 each. Nice job! I love it!
