Geek Inspired Design: Cozy Coffee Cup Cuteness

Handmade Cup Sleeves and Insulators

I love hot coffee and tea. I also love being cozy. So when I found this little cup sleeve design called a “Cup Cozie,” I knew I had to write about it. This is the perfect little accessory for any geek like me who loves her daily afternoon trip to Starbucks.

Each one of these insulators is hand embroidered. The fabric is brown on the outside and polka-dotted on the inside. Sew Tara, who has been very successful selling these in her Etsy Shop, creates them. Craftee recently interviewed Sara about what inspires her to make her designs. She offers some insight for those considering opening their own Etsy shop. You can read that at Interview with Sew Tara.

These are the same size as the standard cardboard insulators we normally get at the coffee shop, and they fit standard sized paper cups. They remind me of another coffee cup accessory I wrote about last month. They were cute little knitted sweaters for our mugs. People everywhere seem to be truly inspired by their coffee. I don’t blame them. For me, coffee with French vanilla cream is one of life’s guilty pleasures!
