Food Sculptures: 12 Things You Can Make With Tin Cans

Creative Food Can Sculpture Builds

You guys seem to love food, and we do too. The way we look at it is the more visually creative our food is, the better it will probably taste. The best foods are the ones that make your imagination run wild because nothing is more boring then slapping something on the plate that is plain and dull. Just like Diana’s article How To: Make A Black Olive Pengiun, we aim to make your food experience infinitely more interesting and enjoyable. Sometimes you don’t even need to prepare food a certain way to make it creative though. Just use the packaging to make it look visually stunning, and that alone will give you a giggle.

Once again, the Canstruction competition has finally had its run, and the creativeness that came out of it is fun to report to you. It seems people really love their canned food, and they can’t stop building stuff with it. The winning submissions are of course unearthly, and in order to create them, hundreds if not thousands of cans were used. I find myself wondering if the canned food was supplied by the competition itself or if each person had to bring their own truck load. I know, it’s such useless information to know, but I keep wondering.

To show you some of the creative can builds, here are 12 of the most intricate ones. If you are thinking about creating your own builds, I suggest dropping by the supermarket before you get started since you will most likely need to buy a bunch more cans in order to be able to compete with these people. How creative can food really get? Is there a way to tell when things have gone a little too far, or doesn’t it really matter? Food is supposed to look good too, but canned food? I guess I will just linger in the back excitingly peeking over people’s shoulders while I keep wondering where all those cans came from…
