Fan Created Star Wars Trilogy Posters Put The Geek Back In Them

Let us venture inside the imaginary world of George Lucas for a second and see where it leads us. It doesn’t take long before I stumble over some quite impressive fan created art that might just rival the original. With yet another push of the Star Wars franchise underway around the globe, it’s not hard to understand that Mr. Lucas is once again milking his lifelong brainchild for yet another couple of billion dollars. If this is to fund another set of movies it’s impossibly to say, but the fact is, I am sure that somewhere down the line there will be another set of movies that will continue the story of the Star Wars saga.

Until then, how do we keep ourselves busy? Well, as you know, the Star Wars community is buzzing with life and fans all over the world are creating art and gadgets and putting them on display on the Internet. Some go viral while others stay dormant until someone stumbles upon them and features them in an article, similar to what we are doing here at Bit Rebels. Today, as I said, I stumbled over something that will make your head spin out of pure retromania.

I found three completely illustrated Star Wars Trilogy posters that made me choke on my tea I had just had a sip of. The artist, Christopher Lee (as if sharing the name with the actor who played Saruman isn’t enough) managed to out-flavor the original trilogy posters to a degree where everything else seems boring and blunt. I sure would have wanted to see these mixed up with the original ones when the movies where released some decades ago. This is testament to the fact that what George Lucas has created is nothing less than a legendary saga that will stick with us for many more decades to come.
