Chocolate Covered Strawberry Shot Glasses

Mmm… What could be better at a party than chocolate, strawberries and vodka, all mixed up into one decadent treat? When I saw these chocolate covered strawberry shot glasses, I instantly knew I had to share them with you. This simple recipe comes from a yummy blog I recently found out about called Sweet Tooth. Apparently, they are super simple to make too.

Just find some big strawberries, cut off the pointy end to make a base, scoop out the middle, dip them in melted chocolate and put them in the freezer. When you are ready to use them, just take them out of the freezer and put any type of alcohol or drink in them that you like. In this particular example, Erica and Melissa filled them with vanilla vodka, Godiva liquor and some chocolate syrup. Whoa! I’ll skip dinner and just eat about four of these strawberries instead.

What I like about this is that it’s more of a method than a recipe. If you can do this with a strawberry, you could probably do it with other types of fruit as well. For example, I bet a citrus drink would be delicious in a scooped out tangelo or a chocolate covered peach. The combination of fruit and chocolate is always fun, and this is definitely a winner! You can check out more of Erica’s fabulous creations on Sweet Tooth.
